STEPHEN KOWAL

Chief Executive Officer, FTS group

As FTS Group CEO, Stephen directs the overall leadership and direction of the group. He has extensive executive experience in IT business management, previously leading DXC Sales in ANZ and serving as President for the CSC Australia and New Zealand Insurance and Banking business prior to that.

Stephen has in-depth knowledge of the Insurance, Banking, Government and Natural Resources sectors, where he held senior positions in both the IT and commercial fields including several CIO roles within the USA, Chile and Australia. Stephen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Graduate Diploma in Finance, and Diploma in Insurance. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, Senior Associate of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) CIP), and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Kunal Shah

Chief Financial Officer, FTS group

As CFO, Kunal is responsible for the Group’s overall financial performance, back-end operations as well as the development of strong finance teams within the FTS Group. Kunal has over 21 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. He began in the field of Audit and Assurance and then ventured into the commercial world where he spent time working in manufacturing, construction and technology industries. Kunal joined FTS Group as the CFO in 2015, and has spearheaded streamlining and accounting policies and financial systems across the federated companies within the group.

He brings extensive experience in providing commercial and contractual guidance to Sales and Operations teams. Kunal has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from Gujarat University and a Masters in Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology, Sydney.

JULIA MERTEN

HR Leader, FTS Group

As HR Leader, Julia’s focus is to enhance organisational effectiveness and employee performance within the FTS Group. She provides leadership coaching and support and oversees Talent Acquisition while building a D&I culture to bolster the rapid growth and expansion of the group.

Julia has over 20 years of experience in HR, Quality Management and Change Management and has held roles in Accenture and DA Consulting Group. She holds a Bachelors in Economics (Social Science) with Honours in Psychology from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Certificate of Change Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW).

MARTY HOLDEN

Head of Emerging Business & CIO, FTS Group

Marty leads the instigation, growth and development of emerging business capabilities within the FTS Group. As part of the role, Marty develops ‘startups’ within the Group and transitions them into successful and profitable capabilities for assimilation into the broader FTS Group under the direction of the CEO. Additionally, Marty works within the FTS Group M&A Team and is responsible for the successful integration of acquired entities into the Group. As the CIO, Marty oversees the people, processes and technologies within the FTS Group to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business.

Marty was one of the founding Executives and Director of Veritec; a technology, product and services firm beginning in 2014 with a view to help its clients improve business performance through the use of technology. Marty has been in the IT industry for more than 30 years with experience in Government, Telecommunications, Travel and Logistics sectors; holding senior roles including CIO and General Manager within roles based in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA.

ANDREW BALMAKS

Chief Executive Officer, Noetic

As Noetic’s Chief Executive Officer, Andrew oversees the business growth, leading projects of strategic significance. Andrew typically works with - and advises, senior executives on their key organisational challenges. He has built a strong reputation for dealing with difficult and sensitive issues, demonstrating an ability to unpack these issues and develop implementable options to address them. Consequently, Andrew has earned the trust of senior executives which allows him to ‘tell it like it is’.

Andrew has significant experience in strategic thinking and analysis based on a consideration of alternate futures and the need for innovation. His work has been hugely influential on the direction and development of a number of organisations. He is an excellent facilitator and is regarded as a lateral thinker with a proven ability to deal with complex, difficult and often sensitive problems.

DAVID DEKKER

Chief Executive Officer, Cubic Consulting

David joined Cubic Consulting in early 2019 as CEO. He is responsible for growing the business and ensuring a world-class delivery experience for Cubic’s customers. During his tenure, he has shifted the focus towards improving user adoption, signalling an outcome-based approach with a focus on Change Management, Communication and Enterprise Learning solutions.

Prior to this David worked for 5 years at SAP, Germany’s biggest publicly listed company. After successfully leading a team focusing on selling and delivering user enablement solutions in the Netherlands, SAP placed David in Australia and head up the ANZ division. This experience has been crucial in helping him strengthen Cubic Consulting’s CRM, HR, Procurement and ERP services.

David holds a Masters in Science (Public Administration) and a Masters in Arts at Cum Laude level (Philosophy), both from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Greg Mace

Chief Executive Officer, Veritec

Greg was appointed the CEO of Veritec in June 2020 and prior to that held a General Manager position at Veritec since 2018, leading both the Sales and Business Applications Delivery teams during that time. In the past two years, Greg has played an integral role in driving Veritec’s growth and development, increasing the company’s footprint within a number of its key strategic accounts including the Department of Defence and the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

He has 20+ years’ experience in the IT industry, starting his career as a Business Analyst and Project Manager working in the field of business application software development primarily at the Australian Taxation Office. Since leaving the APS Greg has held senior management roles with Program Planning Professionals (Pcubed), Avanade and Oracle. Greg is a Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Prince 2 Practitioner, and holds an Advanced Diploma of Project Management from the Australian Institute of Project Management.

 

JASON FROST

Chief Executive Officer, ANATAS

Jason has led ANATAS since 2015, strengthening Partner Vendor relationships and growing the team significantly. Jason has 25 years’ experience in software solutions and consulting services leadership, most recently with ACI, Kofax and Software AG.

Under Jason’s leadership, ANATAS works with industry-leading partners like Boomi, Webmethods, Red Hat and Smartsheet. ANATAS clients are guided at all levels of business and integration strategy, implementation delivery and project success.

JOHN CRICKMORE

Chief Executive Officer, KoBold

John Crickmore has 30 plus years’ experience working as a senior leader in the Defence, Public, Private and Not-For-Profit sectors, and has excellent communication and investigative skills, a practical understanding of business processes and practices in different sectors, and the ability to focus on achieving positive and quality outcomes.

John has built a number of businesses from scratch in Australia, including domestic arms of overseas companies, covering revising and refreshing organisations, creating governance, financial, quality, delivery and competency frameworks, and employing and developing good people. John holds a Bachelor in Applied Science, as well as Post Graduate qualifications in IT and Legal Studies.

RICHARD HILL

Chief Executive Officer, Galaxy 42

Richard was one of the original Co-Founders of Galaxy42 in 2014 and took over the role of CEO in 2020. Before this, Richard was the Galaxy42 Chief Operating Officer and played an integral role in driving Galaxy42’s growth and development. Galaxy42 has become the largest independent provider of TechnologyOne consulting services throughout Australia. It has developed a loyal and extensive client base along with some unique industry expertise, particularly in Local Government, which has seen Galaxy42 extend its service offerings to include the Infor Pathway application.

Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, starting his IT career as an IT Manager at RJ Gilberton’s where he worked on what was then TechnologyOne’s fourth customer. After leaving Gilberton’s Richard held senior management roles with TechnologyOne, Jigsaw Services and Red Rock Consulting before moving to Galaxy 42 full-time in July 2017. Richard has a Business Degree and commenced his professional career in the audit department of Deloitte Haskins and Sells.
